With Assembly elections in Karnataka to be held in May, the people of the state have recently witnessed inauguration and laying of foundation stones of several development projects by the ruling BJP. After launching 'Vijaya Sankalpa Yatra' on March 3, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will make a visit to the state on Friday to attend Regional Conference On Drug Trafficking and National Security. Amit Shah will revisit the poll-bound state on March 26.
The Union Minister will oversee the destruction of 9,298 kg of seized drugs valued at Rs 1,235 crores during the Regional Conference on 'Drug Trafficking and National Security' in Bengaluru, as per an ANI report. Besides, he will lay the foundation stones for several development projects.
He will lay the foundation stone of Sehkar Samrudhi Soudh and also inaugurate various development projects of the Cooperative Ministry (Karnataka) in Kommaghatta village, Bengaluru.
According to his official tour programme, the union minister will reach Bengaluru on Thursday at around 11 PM. On Friday, Shah is set to attend the Regional Conference with Southern States and Union Territories on the Smuggling of Narcotics and National Security from 10.30 AM to 1.30 PM.
Shah, who also holds the cooperation portfolio, will also visit Kommaghatta, a village on the outskirts and come under the Rural Bengaluru, where he will lay the foundation stone of the ‘Sahakara Samruddhi Soudha'.
The veteran BJP leader will also inaugurate various other programmes related to the ministry of cooperation. According to BJP sources, he will visit the state once again on March 26 (Sunday).
In between Shah's back-to-back visits on March 24 and March 26, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend events in Bengaluru and Davangere on March 25.
Minister Amit Shah was in Bidar on March 3 to launch the 'Vijaya Sankalpa Yatra'. The party ruling at the Centre and state is trying in every possible way that the electorate of Karnataka to return their government to power again in the upcoming assembly election, which is due in May this year.
