AAP Will Emerge As Alternative To BJP & Cong In Karnataka, Says Party's State President Prithvi

Within the next 4-6 weeks, big names are joining AAP in Karnataka but the names cannot be revealed as yet, he said.

Chennai: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will emerge as an alternative for BJP, Congress and JD(S) within the next few weeks, said AAP state president Prithvi Reddy on Friday.

According to IANS, National Executive Committee Member and National Spokesperson Prithvi Reddy said that AAP's victory in Punjab has shown that the party cannot only make a mark in urban cities but also in rural and agrarian areas of the country.

Within the next 4-6 weeks, big names are joining AAP in Karnataka but the names cannot be revealed as yet, he said.

According to him, within next 30 days the revolution in New Delhi and Punjab will reach Karnataka's households.

The New Delhi model will work well for Bengaluru and the change will certainly come here too, Prithvi added.

On the larger plan, Prithvi said that the party will find suitable candidates within the next three months and the candidates will be given 9-10 months' time to reach to every house in the constituency.

Hitting out at the Hijab row, the state AAP president opined that the hijab issue is a trap by BJP since they are unable to exhibit their work.

The Congress treats minorities as vote bank while BJP treats majority Hindus as vote bank but only AAP works for the poor, he claimed.

Meanwhile, Prithvi, who has worked with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, said the people of Punjab will begin to see a change within five to six months instead of five years.

The party will work against the drug menace in Punjab and work for agricultural developments, he stated.
