Stalin Orders Officials To Take Immediate Action Against Those Disturbing Communal Harmony

The CM also told district collectors to listen to the grievances of the people. 

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Thursday ordered the officials to immediately act against the persons disturbing communal harmony of the state. The CM also instructed officials to curb all illegal activities taking place in the state and to crackdown on history-sheeters. 

Addressing a three-day session with district collectors, police officers and forest officials, Stalin said that the government would not tolerate any law and order issues and instructed the officials to curb all the illegal activities in the state.

The government would not permit any crime against women and children, especially under the influence of psychotropic substances. There would not be any leniency on the people involved in land grabbing incidents, the CM said, as per a report on IANS.

Further, CM Stalin, stating that law and order are important for attracting investment, ordered officials to crackdown on history-sheeters.  He also said, in order to become a trillion-dollar economy law and order situation was indispensable. 

The CM also told district collectors to listen to the grievances of the people, the report added.

The CM then went on to say that 'Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam', 'Illam Thedi Kalvi' and 'Innuyur Kappom Nammai Kakkum' schemes have reached the public. 

On the next course of action, he said that the government was planning to increase the green cover in the state to 33 per cent from the present 24 per cent so he instructed government officers to implement it. 

Lastly, he thanked the government officials for their support with which the government was able to contain novel coronavirus in the past 10 months of forming the government.
