UP Has Less Cases of Dengue & Chikungunya Than Kerala, Says Yogi in Kannur Rally

Amit Shah on Tuesday set off on a 15-day foot march to protest the CPI-M's alleged violence against workers of his party, which is trying to emerge as the main challenger to the Left in Kerala.

UP CM Yodi Adityanath on Wednesday said Kerala state government should take lessons from his state if it wanted to control rising cases of Dengue and Chikungunya.

Yogi who took part in BJP Amit Shah’s Jan Raksha Yatra in Kannur said “in Kerala in a year there have been 300 deaths due to the vector-borne diseases. Uttar Pradesh has considerably less number of cases of dengue and chikungunya than Kerala which the state government here should take note of.”

The CPI(M) has accused the BJP and the RSS of resorting to violence and denied the involvement of its government and leadership in the political killings. (Inputs from PTI)

The Jan Raksha Yatra, held under the theme of 'All have to live! Against Jihadi-Red Terror', from Payyannur will travel through the state before ending in Thiruvananthapuram on October 17. As many as 120 BJP workers have been killed in the state since 2001 with 14 of them in the chief minister's home town since he took over the reigns last year, the BJP has alleged.
