India Logs Less Than 50K Covid Cases, Positivity Rate Drops To 3.17% In last 24 Hrs
With these numbers, currently, the active cases in the country stand at 5,37,045. The daily positivity rate is at 3.17 percent with a recovery rate of 97.55 percent.
New Delhi: India recorded 44,877 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The number of recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours was 1,17,591.
With these numbers, currently, the active cases in the country stand at 5,37,045. The daily positivity rate is at 3.17 percent with a recovery rate of 97.55 percent.
The number of fatalities recorded in the last 24 hours is 684 at a death rate of 1.19 percent. The total active cases comprise 1.26 percent of the total cases.
So far, 172.81 crore vaccine doses have been administered in the country.
Meanwhile, Kerala continues to log maximum cases at 15,184 fresh cases in the last 24 hours.
On the other hand, Maharashtra recorded 4,359 fresh covid cases with 32 fatalities. Mumbai recorded 349 new cases.
Madhya Pradesh also recorded more than 2,000 new covid cases at 2,438 with seven fatalities.
Delhi on the other hand is seeing a decline with 920 new covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. 13 more fatalities were recorded in the last 24 hours with a positivity rate of 1.68 percent.
Andhra Pradesh recorded 896 new covid-19 cases with six deaths in the last 24 hours.
As the covid-19 cases are going down in the country, the state governments are relaxing the restrictions that were imposed to curb the spread of the virus.
Considering the decline in covid-19 cases, the Election Commission of India has also relaxed the rules for rallies for the ongoing assembly elections of five states.
