Covid-19: Delhi Logs Dip In Daily Cases With 673 Infections, But Deaths Spike To 4. Positivity Rate 4.97%

Covid positivity in the national capital fell to 2.77 percent. On Friday, the positivity rate was 3.34 percent.

New Delhi: In the previous 24 hours, Delhi recorded 673 new Covid-19 cases and four fatalities. With Saturday's update, the death toll in Delhi now stands at 26192, news agency ANI reported.

Covid positivity in the national capital fell to 2.77 percent. On Friday, the positivity rate was 3.34 percent.

On Saturday, Delhi announced 1,074 survivors of the new coronavirus. The total number of recoveries is currently 1869617.

After Saturday's addition, the total active Covid caseload in Delhi currently stands at 3,936. The total number of positive cases in Delhi has now reached 1899745.

According to the city's official health bulletin, 24317 tests were performed in the last twenty-four hours.

The previous day, the national capital reported 899 new Covid-19 cases. Prior to that, 1,032 new Covid cases were registered in Delhi on Thursday, bringing the total number of Covid cases to 18,98,173.

Meanwhile, India recorded 2,858 Covid-19 cases and 11 fatalities in 24 hours on Saturday, according to the Union Health Ministry.

As a result, the caseload has increased to 43,119,112, but active cases have decreased by 508 in a 24-hour period. As of May 14, there were 18,096 ongoing Covid cases in India. The daily recovery rate has climbed to 3,355, with a total of 4,25,76,815 cases recovered to far, accounting for 98.74 percent of all cases.
