Covid Cases In India Today: The number of deaths reported in the last 24 hours is 314 that has taken the total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic to 4,86,066.
India reported 7,743 Omicron positive cases in the last 24 hours, which is 28.17 percent higher than yesterday, according to Press Information Bureau. The fresh covid-19 cases reported in the last 24 hours is 2,71,202 which is 2,369 cases higher than yesterday.
With this, the active caseload in India stands at 15,50,377. The daily positivity rate stands at 16.28 percent. There have been 1,38,331 recoveries in the last 24 hours as the recovery rate stands at 95.51 percent.

With the administration of more than 66 lakh Doses (66,21,395) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 156.76 Cr (1,56,76,15,454) as per provisional reports till 7 am on Sunday.
This has been achieved through 1,68,19,744 sessions.
Maharashtra on Saturday recorded 42,462 new Coronavirus cases and 23 fresh fatalities. Meanwhile, the active caseload stands at 2,64,441.
The state also reported 125 new cases of the Omicron variant of Coronavirus, raising the overall count to 1,730. Mumbai city recorded the most number of single day Covid deaths - 11 - since July 29, 2021.
