Parineeti Chopra Reacts To Zomato Delivery Boy Case; Calls It ‘Inhuman, Shameful And Heartbreaking’
Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra also commented on the Zomato delivery boy incident and showed her support to the delivery boy requesting Zomato India to ‘publicly report the truth’.
New Delhi: A Bengaluru-based influencer recently alleged that a Zomato delivery boy manhandled her and broke her nose. While many came out in support of the influencer, many people supported the delivery boy after knowing his side of the story. Well, Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra also commented on this incident and showed her support to the delivery boy requesting Zomato India to ‘publicly report the truth’.
The ‘Saina’ actress took to her Twitter and wrote, “Zomato India - PLEASE find and publicly report the truth.. If the gentleman is innocent (and I believe he is), PLEASE help us penalise the woman in question. This is inhuman, shameful and heartbreaking .. Please let me know how I can help.. #ZomatoDeliveryGuy @zomatoin”.
She also posted a picture of the delivery boy on her Instagram story and wrote, “FIND THE TRUTHHH!! If this man has been framed for no reason, the woman who did this NEEDS to pay for his pain! F***”
The Bengaluru-based model shared a video where her nose is covered with blood.
After this incident, Zomato suspended the delivery boy temporarily and also released a statement wherein they revealed that they are covering his legal expenses and the influencer’s medical expenses.
A portion of the statement read, “We are in constant touch with Hitesha, covering her medical expenses, and helping her with the proceedings. "We are also in constant touch with Kamaraj, extending all possible support to make sure both sides of the story come to light and that due process is followed in the spirit of fairness.”
“Right from the get-go, our topmost priority has been to get to the truth. Towards that we are helping both Hitesha and Kamaraj (our delivery partner) with all the support they need while the investigation is pending. We are also assisting the police in whichever way asked”, added the statement.
Meanwhile, speaking of Parineeti Chopra, she will be next seen starring in ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ and ‘Saina’.
