The music video takes you on a ride through Rana Naidu’s childhood and gives you a sneak peek into the world of the mighty fixer.
Talking about working with King and RollRida to bring Baap Aa Gaya to life, Rana Daggubati said “Rana Naidu is a world of its own. He's a complex character with a dark past, especially with his father Naga. 'Baap Aa Gaya' captures that essence perfectly, and we couldn't think of anyone better than King and RollRida to bring it to life. I've been listening to this song on repeat for weeks, and I'm confident audiences will do the same. I’m very grateful for the love that the show has received and the song feels like a perfect celebration! Working with King and RollRida was unforgettable. They're true masters of their craft.
The Indian adaptation of the hit American series ‘Ray Donovan’, ‘Rana Naidu’ follows the life of its titular protagonist (Rana), the go-to guy for everyone in Bollywood when they have a problem and his tumultuous equation with father Naga Naidu (Venkatesh).
Rana is getting rave reviews for his performance in the series.
“I like the extremes, like when I play good (roles) in films, there is extreme goodness like in ‘Leader’, where good is extreme. And if it is bad, the bad has to be extreme too and if it is grey like in ‘Rana Naidu’, it is (also) going to be extreme. I feel extreme emotions is what I connect with and it does not matter if I am playing good or bad (roles). The fact that I get to play so many things is interesting,” Rana told PTI about his role.
“When you see me in the show, you do not know if this guy is good or bad. You just follow him with whatever deeds he does and Rana Naidu best uses this. He is stoic, extremely complex, emotional but does not show emotion. He has a problem with everybody, he wants to fix everything but he is the reason that everything is not being fixed. So, it is a complex world that he lives in and that is what really excited me,” he was quoted as saying by PTI.
The series also stars Ashish Vidyarthi, Abhishek Banerjee, Priya Banerjee, Gaurav Chopra and Sushant Singh.
