The Family Man 2: Samantha Akkineni is the newest addition to the cast of Manoj Bajpayee's much-awaited series.

2020 was the year of binge-watching as leading OTT platforms treated us with several intriguing web series and films. Amazon Prime Video, which is gearing up for the premiere of Saif Ali Khan's 'Tandav', has now announced the release date of 'The Family Man 2'. The ardent fans of the web series won't have to wait much as it will knock their doors next month. Yes, you read that right! When Is 'The Family Man' Season Two Releasing On Amazon?

The streaming giant shared a video on social media to reveal the release date of the new season of 'The Family Man'. The action thriller will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video from February 12, 2021. Raj and DK, the creators of the series, have said that the audience can expect several surprises in the new season. The director duo has promised to keep the viewers hooked on to their screens with the new season.

Teaser Of 'The Family Man 2'

Raj and DK posted a short teaser on social media along with the caption, "This time, no one is safe. #WhoisRaji Chehre ke peeche chehra, raaz hai ismein gehra #TheFamilyManOnPrime on 12th Feb (There is a face behind each face and they all hold secrets)."
"We are thrilled and excited to return to the world of The Family Man. The response to first season was overwhelming and it struck a real chord with the viewers. And we are hopeful that we can continue to tell a story which is, as compelling and engaging as the first season. The one question we were asked for the last 16 months is - when is season 2 coming. Our team has worked from home through the pandemic and amidst all the constraints to complete the season. We wish to thank everyone involved in our show, and fans can be sure that we have plenty of surprises in store for the new season of The Family Man," the makers said in a statement. Samantha Akkineni, who will make her digital debut, is the biggest addition to the impressive star cast. The series will also feature Seema Biswas, Sunny Hinduja, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Darshan Kumar,  Mime Gopi, Devadarshini Chetan and N Alagamperumal in key roles.

What Will Be New In 'The Family Man 2'?

The first season of the series focused on Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee), an intelligence officer, who is caught between the dual responsibilities of protecting his nation from a terror attack and his family from the after-effects of his secretive and highly demanding job. Srikant will have to deal with a new antagonist in the form of Raji, played by Samantha Akkineni. While Tiwari had to face Moosa (Neeraj Madhav) in the first season, Raji is expected to pose a bigger challenger to him in the new season. The audience are quite excited to know what happened between Suchitra and Arvind in the last season. How will this affect Srikant's personal life?
