Vaishali Takkar Suicide: Prime Accused Rahul Navlani Gets Arrested By Indore Police
On October 16, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ and ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ actress Vaishali Takkar committed suicide.
New Delhi: Prime suspect in the suicide of actress Vaishali Takkar, Rahul Navlani, has been arrested in Indore. On October 16, famous for her appearances in shows like ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ and ‘Sasural Simar Ka’, the TV actress Vaishali Takkar committed suicide by hanging herself.
Moti ur Rehman, an ACP, informed the news agency ANI on Sunday that, “Rahul was Vaishali’s neighbour and the suicide note indicated that he used to harass Vaishali, because of which she took this extreme step. She was about to get married to another man and Rahul troubled her for that. The police are currently investigating the case. Rahul is currently not at his residence and has fled after locking his house. Police are currently locating Rahul, after that he will be questioned.”
The official said that a suicide note found at the scene provided more evidence that her stress and harassment at the hands of her businessman and neighbour Rahul Navlani had culminated in her taking her own life. Police have arrested Rahul Navlani and his wife Disha on charges of sections 306 (Abetment of suicide) and 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.
On Wednesday, Rahul, the main suspect in the suicide case was detained in the area of Indore. His wife, Disha, is also a target of the search.
Vaishali Takkar bagged the role of Sanjana in the popular daily soap 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' from 2015-2016. She also acted as Vrinda in Radhika Madan starrer 'Yeh Hai Aashiqui' which aired on Colors TV.
Vaishali also acted in the serial 'Sasural Simar Ka', for which she even bagged an award for her role as an antagonist. She was last seen in 'Rakshabandhan' on Dangal TV. Vaishali was only 30 years old. Vaishali is survived by her parents and her brother.
