Mumbai: The much-awaited trailer of The Big Bull starring Abhishek Bachchan is out now and the power-packed trailer will surely leave you intrigued for the film. The movie will go straight to the OTT platform on 8th April 2021 skipping the theatrical release.
For the film, Abhishek Bachchan is back with yet another spectacular role - this time as stockbroker Hemant Shah. Reportedly, the film is based on the life of Harshad Mehta and the financial crimes he was involved in.
Directed by Kookie Gulati, this crime drama is inspired by some of the shocking financial shifts from the late 80s and 90s. The trailer of the movie was released on Friday morning.
The movie also features an ensemble cast including Ileana D'Cruz, Nikita Dutta, and Sohum Shah in pivotal roles and is produced by Ajay Devgn, Anand Pandit, and co-produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Vikrant Sharma. Ileana apparently plays Sucheta Dalal who brought the scam to light in 1992 and was later awarded a Padma Shri for journalism in 2006.
The movie is all set to stream exclusively for the subscribers of Disney+ Hotstar VIP and Disney+ Hotstar Premium on 8th April 2021.
While many have already lauded Abhishek Bachchan for acing the real character of Harshad Mehta, others believe there could not be anyone else than Pratik Gandhi who could have pulled off the role as he did in the web series Scam 1992.
Popular YouTuber Ajey Nagar, popularly known as CarryMinati's rap song 'Yalgaar' also has found space as a background score in the trailer.
