Yuvika Chaudhary Reveals Real Reason For Delaying Marriage Registration With Prince Narula: 'After Our Daughter...'

In a recent interview, Yuvika Chaudhary shared that becoming parents ultimately led her and Prince Narula to register their marriage.

New Delhi: Prince Narula and Yuvika Chaudhary, who married on 12 October 2018 and recently welcomed their first child, daughter Ekleen, on 19 October 2024, have now taken the important step of legally registering their marriage. The couple opened up about the delays caused by their hectic schedules and shared candid insights into their journey as partners and parents.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Yuvika revealed the challenges they faced trying to complete the legal formalities, saying, “We tried at least three times, but it always got delayed.”

She explained how their conflicting commitments caused the hold-up, saying, "My mom even booked a slot for us, but every time Prince was either traveling or shooting for Roadies. Time never matched. He would start the paperwork, fill out the forms, but he just didn’t have the time to finish."

Yuvika Chaudhary on Importance of Documentation

Emphasising the practical reasons behind finally registering their marriage, Yuvika highlighted the importance of proper documentation, especially with travel plans ahead. "Now that we have to travel and documentation has to be very strong, we couldn’t delay it any longer. We had to do it legally. It was on the priority list."

She also reflected on how everything seemed to fall into place after the birth of their daughter: “We could have finished this before, but our timings never matched. And then, after our daughter came, everything just started aligning. It’s like it was meant to happen now. She came, and then everything started falling into place."

The actress also shared how registering their marriage brought a sense of completeness beyond legal paperwork. “We are responsible parents now and needed to finish it. It’s not good to delay such things. I told Prince, ‘Now I’m officially going to use your surname,’ and he felt so happy. It was important for documentation, yes, but it also gave a new kind of completeness,” she said.

While balancing the joys of parenthood, Yuvika continues to pursue her film and television work, and Prince Narula remains active in the entertainment industry, recently appearing as a gang boss on MTV’s 'Roadies Double Cross'.
