Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress Pankhuri Awasthy opened up about the rumours of her quitting the show.

New Delhi: Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ has managed to keep the viewers hooked on to their television sets with its drama-packed episodes. The show starring Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan in the respective roles of Naira and Kartik is doing quite well in terms of TRPs. The interesting twists and turns in the show has helped the show in grabbing several eyeballs. Speculations were rife that Pankhuri Awasthy, who plays the role of Vedika in ‘YRKKH, would make an exit from the show. The talented actress was missing from the show since some time and this paved way to the rumours of her biddding adieu to the popular daily. Pankhuri, while talking to an entertainment portal, sqaushed all the rumours and said that she was busy shooting for her film ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhaan’. The ‘Kya Kasoor Hai Amla Ka’ actress will make her Bollywood debut with the film co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana.

“My absence was for the reason that I was not in Mumbai. I was shooting for Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhaan. At first, I had thought that I will be able to balance both, for the above Ayushaman Khurana production was originally scheduled to be shot in Mumbai, but later shifted to Uttar Pradesh.I am very thankful to YRKKH producer Rajan Shahiji, for he agreed to work around my dates. In the middle I would fly down for few days and shoot for Yeh Rishta and go back to Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhaan,” Pankhuri told IWMBuzz. The beautiful actress, who is happily married to Gautam Rode, refuted the rumours which said that she might quit ‘Yeh Rishta’ because of trolling on social media.
