New Delhi: Bollywood actor Navtej Hundal, last seen in Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam starrer ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, left for his heavenly abode on April 8. The Bollywood actor was the father of TV actress Avantika Hundal, who is currently seen as Mihika in the popular show ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’. Navtej’s sudden demise had shocked the industry and ‘YHM’ actors including Divyanka Tripathi and Anita Hassanandi paid a visit to Avantika’s place. (Avantika Hundal with late father Navtej Hundal) Navtej, who played the role of Indian Home Minister in 'Uri', was also seen in films like 'Khalyanak' and 'Tere Mere Sapne'. A report in an entertainment portal suggested that the actress resumed shooting for the show from April 23. ‘’Yes, Avantika is back on the sets of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. Ab kya kar sakte hain? Bas do din pehle hi, unhone kaam shuru kiya hai,’’ Navtej’s nephew Rajat told SpotboyE.

Talking about Avantika, the actress made her debut as Pooja Gaur’s on-screen sister Aarushi in ‘Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya’ on Star Plus. Avantika later replaced Mihika Verma as Mihika Iyer in ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ in 2016. The actress also has been part of Punjabi films like ‘Mr & Mrs 420’ and ‘Mr & Mrs 420 Returns’. (Avantika with other YHM actors) ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ actor Parth Samthan also lost his father recently and the actor has also resumed shooting for the show co-starring Erica Fernandes and Hina Khan.
