‘Used To Hide In Make-up Room & Cry’- Uttaran Actress Tina Datta OPENS On Her 5-year Abusive Relationship

Uttaran actress Tina Datta revealed that she slipped into depression after getting out of an abusive relationship.

New Delhi: Popular TV actress Tina Datta won several hearts with her performance in Colors TV’s ‘Uttaran’. Despite working in several small screen shows, the Bengali beauty is still fondly known for her role of Ichcha from the daily soap co-starring Rashami Desai. Tina, while talking to a leading daily, opened up about her five-year abusive relationship. She also revealed that she slipped into depression after getting out of her long term relationship. Tina was previously in a relationship with a person from outside the industry. She said that her ex raised his hand on her and she regretted not standing up for herself. "I should have told him that it is over. I don't blame the guy completely because I was also at a very tender age when I fell in love. I was so blinded in love that I thought it was okay for me to put up with an abusive relationship and allowed him to treat me the way he wished. But it was not okay. If a guy raises a hand on you, that means he is not man enough. One shouldn't let anybody take you for granted and nobody has the right to disrespect you and take away your peace and happiness from you," Tina Dutta told Hindustan Times. The beautiful actress also said that she used to hide in her make-up room and cry post her bad phase. She further said that she is now open to a new relationship.
