Unwell 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2' Actress Unable To Get COVID-19 Test Done

TV actress Charvi Saraf penned an open letter and said that all her attempts of getting a COVIID-19 test done have went in vain.

New Delhi: TV actress Charvi Saraf, who plays the role of Shivani Sharma in Erica Fernandes and Parth Samthaan starrer ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, is not keeping well these days. She is staying at her place in Delhi ever since the lockdown was announced in March. Earlier in the day we informed you that ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ fame Deepika Singh Goyal’s mother has tested positive for Coronavirus. Charvi, while talking to a news agency, said that she has COVID-19 symptoms but she is unable to get a test done in the national capital. She penned an open letter, which she shared with IANS. The actress said that her family members used to only step out only for buying essential items. She added that she started feeling uneasy since last week. "My body temperature kept picking up and dropping. Soon I started having high fever, with a lot of body ache, breathlessness, pain in throat and headache. Of course like anyone would, I started panicking and wondering if I am suffering from Covid-19. Moreover, I was scared for my family. I didn't want anything to happen to them, so I decided to quarantine myself," Charvi wrote in her open letter to IANS.

She said that she decided to take a COVID-19 test but she didn’t know getting a test done in the national capital was a task in itself. "I made a few calls to the doctors who had been treating us for years. They said they don't have Covid-19 test kits with them, which I understand. Then I called up a few private hospitals nearby. They refused saying the facility was not available there. All I wanted was someone to come over and do my tests as I wasn't in the right position to go to the hospital to get it tested. Then I made a few calls to some government hospitals. They asked me to consult my doctor as it could be viral. I even contacted the Covid-19 helpline, they said they are already full till next week. By this time I got desperate, only to get a test done," Charvi said. Charvi told the news agency that all her efforts to take a Coronavirus test have turned vain. On the professional front, Charvi Saraf has featured in shows like ‘Who Apna Sa’, ‘Naagin 3’ and ‘Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhania’. She is playing the role of Erica Fernandes’ on-screen sister in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’.  The shooting for TV shows are expected to commence soon and some of the actors including Kamya Panjabi and Kanika Mann have already returned to Mumbai.

'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' actress Mohena Kumari Singh, her husband Suyesh Rawat and other family members have also contracted COVID-19. They are currently undergoing treatment in a hospital in Rishikesh.
