New Delhi: ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ is one of the most popular and loved sitcoms of Television. Popularly known as TMKOC, this show is famous for its characters and bone-tickling content. This is one of the longest running sitcoms in the history of Indian Television industry and the audience love the characters such as Jethalal, Dayaben, Babita and others.

One of the most favourite characters Dayaben played by Disha Vakani took a break from TMKOC ever since she went on a maternity break. Fans have been missing the actress in the show and are eagerly waiting for her return in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’.

Well, there is some heart-breaking news for the fans of Disha Vakani aka Dayaben as according to a report of an entertainment portal, the actress has decided to bid adieu to the show permanently.

“After the maternity break, there definitely had been talks regarding the perfect plot to return. Producers had been in touch with Disha and there were some on-going negotiations that were being worked upon. But unfortunately, things did not materialise and Disha decided to quit,” a source told Koimoi.

‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ aired its first episode on July 28, 2008. Produced by Asit Kumarr Modi, this sitcom is based on the weekly column ‘Duniya Ne Undha Chasma’ by Taarak Mehta in ‘Chitralekha’ magazine.
