TMKOC Actor Gurucharan Singh Breaks Silence On His Disappearance: 'I Had No Plans Of Coming Back'

'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' actor Gurucharan Singh, who disappeared on April 22, clarified that his absence was not a publicity stunt but a deeply personal spiritual journey.

'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' actor Gurucharan Singh has finally spoken about his disappearance. The actor, who disappeared on April 22, clarified that his absence was not a publicity stunt but a deeply personal spiritual journey. The actor had returned home after 25 days.

Gurucharan Singh says his disappearance was not a publicity stunt

In a conversation with Times Of India, Singh shared, "I have always been spiritual because of my parents and at this point in life when I was feeling low, I turned towards God. I went on a spiritual journey and had no plans of coming back. But God gave me a sign and that made me return home."

Addressing the speculation about his disappearance being a ploy for attention, Singh firmly denied it, saying, "Many people think I planned my disappearance for publicity, but that’s not true. If I wanted publicity, I could have given interviews to talk about the pending dues for my work in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. I could have used social media to do that, but I didn’t. Even after coming back home, I didn’t give any interviews, but now I am speaking up because I want to clarify certain things that people are saying about me."

The actor is looking for work

Now back in Mumbai, Gurucharan Singh is eager to reignite his career and repay his debts. "I am back and want to do a lot of work. I also want to pay off all the loans and debts that I have, one by one. That can happen through my work, and I am ready to work hard. I have realized that I can continue my spiritual journey even when fulfilling my other responsibilities in life," he explained.

His marriage plans

Gurucharan Singh also expressed his desire to settle down and take care of his family. When asked about his marriage plans, he said, “I do plan to get married soon and settle down in life. Once that happens, I would like to shift my parents from Delhi to Mumbai so that I can take care of them.”

Singh’s disappearance in April caused quite a stir. He was supposed to board a flight from Delhi to Mumbai on April 22, but he never reached his destination. Upon his return to Delhi, he was questioned by Delhi Police, and his statement was recorded before a local court.
