Splitsvilla X5 winner Jashwanth Bopanna has officially confirmed his breakup with Akriti Negi. In a recent conversation, he admitted that their relationship dynamics had changed over time, leading them to part ways. The decision, he said, was not easy for either of them. 

Bopanna opens up about the breakup with Akriti Negi 

Speaking to ETimes, Bopanna shared his perspective on their split, stating, “We decided to part ways because, over time, I felt the balance in our relationship shifting. I realised that a relationship thrives when both people are equally invested, and somewhere along the way, that connection didn’t feel the same. It was a difficult decision, but one made with respect and understanding which was needed.” 

He further told ETimes, “This was a tough decision, but it was something that had to happen. I don’t hold any blame or hard feelings, even if there’s been some confusion—I know clarity took time. Moving forward, I just ask for space and respect for both of us. I hope we can be supported as individuals as we move ahead in our own ways.” 

Jashwant and Akriti relationship

Jashwanth and Akriti became household names after winning Splitsvilla X5, where their strong bond and chemistry won over fans. The duo was widely adored, with many believing their relationship would last beyond the show. Reflecting on their journey earlier, Akriti had once said, “We’ve grown so much together, and every day feels like a new adventure. It’s incredible to see how far we’ve come since our time on the show.” 

However, speculations about trouble in their relationship began late last year when fans noticed their absence from joint public appearances. The rumours gained traction when social media users observed that the two had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
