Shehnaaz Gill Breaks Down On Her Chat Show, Says, 'People Think I Am Trying To Gain Sympathy'

New Delhi: Shehnaaz Gill has a huge fan following and her fans love her honesty and unfiltered behaviour. The singer and actress is doing very well in her career and apart from working on two big-budget films, she has also started her chat show 'Desi Vibes'.

Shehnaaz got emotional in the latest episode of her chat show which featured actor Ayushmann Khurrana. During the conversation, Shehnaaz told Ayushmann that she doesn’t understand why people hide their emotions, she felt that people express their happiness freely but hide their tears. Ayushmann then complimented Shehnaaz and called her ‘courageous’ as she never shies away from showing her true self. 

“You are very very courageous ki aap apne emotions khul ke bolte ho. Jo bolna chahte ho bol dete ho which is very very courageous. (You are very courageous because you say what you are feeling. Whatever you want to say, you say it, which is courageous.)”  

To this, Shehnaaz said that lately she has also started refraining from showing her emotions as people feel she is doing this for sympathy. 

She said, “Meri life mein bhi emotional moments aaye hain but main kabhi kisi kisi ko bataya nahi. Mujhe laga kyunki log likhte the ki sympathy le rahi hai and all (I have had emotional moments in my life but I never shared it with anyone. People were saying that I am trying to gain sympathy).”  

Shehnaaz got emotional and broke down while saying this. “Why am I crying?” she questioned herself. 

Shehnaaz got nationwide popularity on Bigg Boss 14 where she also made a special bond with actor Sidharth Shukla. Their fans loved their bonding and called them ‘SidNaaz’. Sidharth’s untimely death was a shock for everyone including Shehnaaz.  

In the wake of Sidharth's untimely passing, Shehnaaz had also released a song as a tribute to him 'Tu Yaheen hai' music video tribute. She also showed up on the Bigg Boss 15 sets, where she paid a special tribute to the beloved memories of her close buddy. 

Shehnaaz recently dedicated her award at Filmfare Middle East Achievers Night 2022 to Sidharth and said, "Main ek bande ko thank you bolna chahti hun. Thank you meri life mein aane ke liye. And itna mere pe invest kiya ki main aaj yahan pe pahunchi hun. Sidharth Shukla, this is for you."
