Shark Tank India 2: Pitchers Refuse 4 Sharks Because They Do Not Make An Investment Offer Worth Asked Valuation Of 150 CR
Shark Tank India Season 2 on Sony Entertainment Television from Monday to Friday at 10 PM.
New Delhi: The latest episode of Shark Tank India Season 2 saw a variety of pitches ranging from drones to apparel and healthcare.
The episode’s highlights were three young entrepreneurs -- Oshi Kumari, Arth Chowdhary and Devyant Bhardwaj -- who left the 'Shark Tank 2' judges in awe of their innovative business concept of making drones affordable to customers and introducing them in shopping malls.
Oshi, Arth and Devyant started their company Team InsideFPV with an investment of just Rs 5,000 and now they expect the sharks to invest Rs 75 lakh in exchange for 4 per cent equity in their company.
Arth threw more light on the idea and what their hopes were after coming to the show and told news agency IANS: "We are filled with gratitude for getting the opportunity to pitch our InsideFPV drone company on the show."
"The show brought our company to the attention of many people and it has even resulted in high performance analytics since then. The interaction with the Sharks provided us with fresh ideas and a new perspective on our business and how to scale it," Arth added.
Soon after their pitch, 4 sharks came on board to invest and the tussle led them to finally have all four sharks investing in the brand.
Another highlight of the episode was a healthcare-food brand Diabexy which received a lot of appreciation from sharks especially with their sales over the years. However, the valuation asked for by the two entrepreneurs who were founders of Diabexy was refused by the sharks who gave a rather unexpected valuation. Ultimately, the duo founders of Diabexy refused their offer and promised to return when their brand could be valued at Rs. 150 cr.
'Shark Tank India 2' is judged by sharks Anupam Mittal (Founder and CEO of Shaadi.com - People Group), Aman Gupta (Co-Founder and CMO of boAt), Namita Thapar (Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Vineeta Singh (Co-Founder and CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics), Peyush Bansal (Founder & CEO of Lenskart.com), along with new shark - Amit Jain CEO and Co-founder -- (CarDekho Group, InsuranceDekho.com.
