Sasural Simar Ka 2: THIS 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2' Actor To Join Avinash Mukherjee In Colors' New Show
Sasural Simar Ka 2 is expected to launch soon on Colors channel. Avinash Mukerjee will reportedly play the lead role in the upcoming show.
Colors channel is all set to launch a slew of shows in the upcoming months. The popular GEC replaced Salman Khan’s ‘Bigg Boss 14’ with ‘Bawara Dil’ in its weekday slot. After entertaining the viewers with its drama-packed episodes, ‘Bigg Boss 2020’ went off air on February 22. Gossip mills are now buzzing with the rumours that Colors is planning to launch a new season of ‘Sasural Simar Ka’.
According to a report in SpotboyE, the makers have roped in Avinash Mukherjee as the male lead. Avinash, who played the role of Young Jagya, will essay the main lead in ‘Sasural Simar Ka’.
Akash Jagga, who played the role of Kaushik in Erica Fernandes and Parth Samthaan starrer ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’, will be seen as the parallel lead, the report in the portal said. Akash and Avinash will commence shooting for ‘SSK 2’ soon, the report added.
Avinash became a household name after playing the role of Jagdish in ‘Balika Vadhu’. He was last seen in Jigyasa Singh’s ‘Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’. His ‘Balika Vadhu’ co-star Avika Gor had played the female lead in ‘Sasural Simar Ka’, which ran for seven long years.
‘Sasural Simar Ka’ also starred Dipika Kakar, Dheeraj Dhoopar and Manish Raisinghan in lead roles. The show witnessed multiple leaps and even changed its track to entertain the viewers. The family drama turned into a supernatural saga and became the butt of jokes on social media.
While ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2’ has garnered above average ratings, ‘Ishq Mein Marjawan 2’ and ‘Brahmarakhas 2’ have failed to strike a chord with the viewers. It remains to be seen in ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ is able to set the TRP charts on fire or not.
