Sana Makbul Hospitalised After Eid; Friend Shares Emotional Message Praising Her Strength

Bigg Boss OTT 3 winner Sana Makbul has been hospitalised following her Eid celebrations. She has been battling an autoimmune liver disease since 2020. Here's what her friend shared.

Just days after celebrating Eid with her family, actress and Bigg Boss OTT 3 winner Sana Makbul was hospitalised, sparking concern among her fans. The 31-year-old had recently posted joyful pictures from the festivities, only to have her friend, Dr Aashna Kanchwala, later share a photo of her lying in a hospital bed. The reason behind her sudden hospitalisation hasn’t been publicly disclosed yet.

In the heartfelt Instagram post, Dr Aashna Kanchwala addressed Sana with love and admiration: “My strongest Diva I’m so proud of you for showing so much strength and resilience as you battle such a grave condition. Inshallah, you will fight this and come out even stronger… Allah is with you. And I am always standing by you Get well soon my love @divasana.”

The actress looked visibly weak in the hospital picture, but the emotional note from her friend underscored the courage she has consistently shown in the face of adversity.

Battling Autoimmune Hepatitis Since 2020

Sana had previously opened up about her ongoing battle with autoimmune hepatitis—a serious liver condition she was diagnosed with in 2020. During her appearance on Bharti Singh’s podcast, she spoke candidly about how the disease has impacted her life.

“A lot of people don’t know that I am an autoimmune hepatitis patient. I have a liver disease, it was diagnosed in 2020. It has no specific symptoms. In this, my body cells are attacking the organ,” she explained.

The condition, she noted, is comparable to the muscle condition myositis that actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu suffers from, except that in her case, it affects the liver.

Sana shares health update with fans

Though she appeared confident and vibrant during her 'Bigg Boss OTT' 3 stint, Sana admitted that managing the condition is an ongoing struggle. “I take steroids, suppressants, or some medicines. It’s a lifestyle disorder, but with the autoimmune condition, the liver condition is a tricky thing. My health keeps fluctuating, I don’t know if this can be cured completely,” she shared.

Currently, there has been no official statement from Sana or her team regarding her condition. Fans and well-wishers continue to pour in messages of support, hoping for her speedy recovery.
