Ronit Roy Reacts To Buzz About Joining Rupali Ganguly’s Anupamaa As New Vanraj

Ronit Roy has addressed rumours of him replacing Sudhanshu Pandey as Vanraj Shah in Anupamaa.

Putting to rest all the speculation surrounding his supposed entry into 'Anupamaa', actor Ronit Roy has officially confirmed that he is not stepping into the shoes of Vanraj Shah, a role previously portrayed by Sudhanshu Pandey.

The buzz began swirling after reports hinted at major changes in the popular Star Plus daily soap. With 'Anupamaa' experiencing a dip in viewership in recent weeks, there has been talk that the makers are working on revamping the storyline to regain lost momentum. Part of the speculation included the possible introduction of new faces and dramatic twists - one of which was Ronit Roy’s rumoured casting.

However, the actor has categorically dismissed the reports. Speaking to TellyChakkar, Ronit said, "I'm not doing Anupamaa - the news is completely false, and I won't be playing Vanraj."

Backing him up, a source associated with the production also rubbished the ongoing rumours. Speaking to Midday, the insider clarified, There haven't been any developments regarding Vanraj on the show. These are just speculations and there isn't anything true about it. Ronit Roy has also shared with various media portals that he isn't doing the show; the speculations regarding his entry in Anupamaa are completely false.”

Sudhanshu Pandey, who had been the face of Vanraj Shah since the show’s inception, exited the show earlier this year, marking the end of a four-year-long association. His departure came shortly after the series took a 15-year leap - a move that triggered several high-profile exits including those of Gaurav Khanna, Nidhi Shah, and Kunwar Amar Singh.
