Rising Star WINNER is...Bannet Dosanjh OR Maithili Thakur? Check Out!

The first of it's kind LIVE singing reality show 'Rising Star''s Grand Finale just got over and India has chosen the first Winner of LIVE voting based show with their votes a few minutes ago. Winner gets Rs 20 lakh price money with bagging a playback song in Vishesh Films. Veteran Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor was the guest on this finale in which the top 3 finalists Ankita Kundu, Maithili Thakur and Bannet Dosanjh were competing for the winner's trophy. In their first performances for the Top 2 slots, first Maithili and then Bannet raised the wall by beating the score of 69% that was set by Ankita with her fabulous delivery of 'Taal' song 'Kahin Aag Lage' which stole the judges' hearts like always. Judges, who used to have 7% marks each to give since beginning, only had 1% this time to give to the contestants. Half way through the show, Ankit bid goodbye to the show with Judge Shankar Mahadevan's golden words to her and her mother that she should now do college from Mumbai itself so as to make it more convenient for the music composers to approch her for recordings. It was then Bannet and Maithili pitted against each other for the winner's trophy. Maithili's awesome singing and unbeatable singing talent fetched her 76% votes. And judges did not have any number of votes in this round in this thrilling finale.

And finally Bannet Dosanjh become the winner of the show by beating Maithili's score of 76 by earning just an extra 1%, scoring total 77% votes.
