Kapil Sharma REACTS to Navjot Singh Sidhu’s exit from his show, #BoycottKapilSharma trends on Twitter

New Delhi: Days after netizens slammed Punjab cabinet minister Navjot Singh for his insensitive remarks on Pulwama attack, comedian & actor Kapil Sharma has broken his silence on Sidhu getting replaced in ‘The Kapil Sharma Show 2’. The ‘Firangi’ actor, who was speaking at an event in Chandigarh, said that banning is not the solution and the focus should be on the genuine problem and not other issues. Kapil also said that there should be a permanent solution and if sacking Sidhu was a solution, then he is smart enough to leave the show himself. WATCH: Kapil Sharma reacts on Navjot Singh Sidhu's removal & Archana Puran Singh replacing him! The 'Kis Kis Se Pyaar Karoon' actor said that Archana Puran Singh only shot for a few episodes as Sidhu was busy with his other commitments. Reacting to the rumours of Sidhu getting replaced, Sharma said that he is not the producer of the show and the decision lies with the channel. Kapil also said that nation comes first and he will support whatever actions the government of India and PM Narendra Modi take. Navjot Singh Sidhu shared a video of Kapil on Twitter with the hashtag ‘#IskaImpactAyegaKiNahi’ and the users on the micro-blogging site are having mixed opinions on what Kapil said. Kapil Sharma’s comments didn’t go down well with the people and they have now threatened to boycott the ace comedian. While the hashtag #BoycottSidhu was earlier trending on social media, people have now started slamming Sharma by using the hashtag #BoycottKapilSharma. It is even trending number one on Twitter. For the uninitiated, it all started from Sidhu’s remark post the deadly Pulwama attack which claimed the lives of over 40 CRPF jawans. “For a handful of people, can you blame the entire nation and can you blame an individual? It (the attack) is a cowardly act and I condemn it firmly. Violence is always condemnable and those who did it must be punished,’’ Sidhu had said during a media interaction.
