New Delhi: It won’t be wrong to say that Ekta Kapoor always manages to create anticipation for her shows, be it ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ or ‘Naagin 4’. ‘Who is playing Komolika?’ to ‘Who is replacing Surbhi Jyoti in Naagin 4?’, these are some of the questions which were searched several times on Google. Ever since the TV Czarina announced the new season of ‘Naagin’, fans are eagerly waiting to know who will play the lead. Speculations are rife that Dipika Kakar, Shivin Narang and Mahek Chahal have been approached for ‘Naagin 5’. As per the latest buzz, we might see two top TV actresses play the role of a naagin in the upcoming supernatural show. According to a report in an entertainment portal, Divyanka Tripathi and Kratika Sengar are expected to play naagins in ‘Naagin 5’. Interestingly, both the actresses have been associated with hit shows of Balaji Telefilms. While Divyanka played the role of Ishita opposite Karan Patel in ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ (Star Plus), Kratika was seen in ‘Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki’ (Colors TV) opposite Ssharad Malhotra.
‘Bigg Boss 13’ first runner-up Asim Riaz will play Mouni Roy’s son in ‘Naagin 5’, the report in Bollywoodlife said. Divyanka will be seen in a negative role. However, it is all conjecture and the makers are yet to confirm the same.
Ekta Kapoor had earlier confirmed that ‘Naagin 4’ will go off with a four-episode ‘fantastic’ finale. She apologized to the cast for letting them down and not delivering as per expectations. The revenge saga features Nia Sharma and Vijayendra Kumerai in lead roles. Rashami Desai, who entered the show before the lockdown, played the character of Shalaka. ‘Naagin 4’ also starred Jasmin Bhasin, Anita Hassanandani and Sayantani Ghosh in pivotal roles. Several TV shows including 'Beyhadh 2', 'Nazar 2', 'Vidya', 'Kartik Purnima' have gone off air due to the Coronavirus lockdown. There are rumours in the industry that channels have asked the producers to slash their budgets. Stay tuned for more updates!
