Kamya Punjabi to release short-film featuring bestie Pratyusha Banerjee on her death anniversary
NEW DELHI: TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee's death continues to be an unsolved mystery. Whether it was relationship problems or financial crisis- the real reason behind her death is still unknown.
TV industry lost its talented actress last year on April 1. Commemorating the day, Kamya Punjabi has announced to release a short film featuring Pratyusha, 'Hum Kuchh Keh Naa Sakey'. The 'Shakti' actress will release the film online on her bestie's first death anniversary.
This film is reportedly the last project of the 'Balika Vadhu' actress after which she was found hanging at her home in Oshiwara. This story of the film 'heartbreak and depression' bears striking resemblance to late Pratyusha's life. The climax of the movie couldn't be shot as the actress committed suicide after one-and-a-half months.
Talking to Bombay Times, Kamya said, "Though a work of fiction, it will seem quite similar to what Pratyusha must have gone through. She will be seen heartbroken, resorting to vices like drinking and smoking. As a narrator, I will interlink her reel and real lives, and question viewers on why people change in love and choose to remain silent sufferers. Pratyusha didn't use glycerine while shooting the emotional scenes". In the movie, Pratyusha's reel boyfriend has name Rahul similar to her real-life beau Rahul Raj Singh. Kamya reveals, "It was Pratyusha's decision to name the character Rahul". Kamya keeps on sharing heartfelt messages for her best friend on social media. Kamya and Pratyusha became close friends during their stay in the Bigg Boss house. Pratyusha became household name with Colors' show 'Balika Vadhu. She also participated in Nach Baliye 5 and Bigg Boss 7. Watch the trailer of the short film here
