Had no support to fulfil my acting dream: Kiran Sharma

Mumbai: Actress Kiran Sharma, currently seen as Kanta Chachi in the TV show "Zindagi Ki Mehek", says her family was not supportive of her talent. She says she had only Rs 2,000 when she landed in Mumbai with dreams of becoming an actress. "It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that ‘Zindagi Ki Mehek' is a lifetime opportunity for me. I've put in a lot of effort to reach here. From a very young age, I dreamt of becoming an actor, but the path was full of obstacles," Kiran said in statement. "I didn't get any support from my family. With only Rs 2,000, I took up this challenge and started my struggle. I always believed that my hard work would pay off some day and then theatre happened to me. And, that was the biggest turning point of my life," she added. Talking about her role in the Zee TV show, Kiran said: "Kanta is a responsible woman and cares for everyone. She is a selfless person and devotes herself totally to the things she does. To portray the character effortlessly on the screen, I try to enter Kanta's state of mind and match her wavelength."
