Ekta Kapoor is reportedly planning to introduce a new season of 'Pavitra Rishta' on ZEE5.

Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Pavitra Rishta’ managed to win the hearts of the viewers with its entertaining episodes. The popular show starring Ankita Lokhande and late Sushant Singh Rajput ran for five long years on the small screen. Both Ankita and Sushant became household names after playing the respective characters of Archana and Manav in the daily soap.

If a recent report in Tellychakkar is to be believed, Ekta Kapoor is planning to launch season two of ‘Pavitra Rishta’ on ZEE5. Yes, you read that right!

The officials at Zee and Balaji Telefilms are keen to launch ‘Pavitra Rishta 2’. They are looking to introduce a new cast in the second season of the hit show.

‘Pavitra Rishta’ also starred Rithvik Dhanjani, Asha Negi in key roles. Hiten Tejwani replaced Sushant in the show after the latter decided to quit.

Ankita and Sushant fell in love on the sets of ‘Pavitra Rishta’. Their sizzling chemistry was quite popular among the fans. While SSR left the show in 2011, Ankita continued to play the lead role till its end.

Sushant, who made a successful transition from TV to cinema, was found dead at his apartment on June 14, 2020. Three Central agencies including the Central Bureau of Investigation, the Enforcement Directorate and the Narcotics Control Bureau are probing his death case.

The NCB, which is investigating the drug angle in the high-profile case, arrested Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty in a case linked to Sushant’s death. The Bombay High Court granted bail to the ‘Chehre’ actress on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh. She walked out of Mumbai’s Byculla jail after staying behind the bars for close to one month.
