'Choti Sarrdaarni' Actor's Father Dies Of COVID-19, Says 'Testing Time For Me & My Family'

'Choti Sarrdaarni' actor Amal Sehrawat said that he saw his father 'once for a brief period' after he was admitted to the hospital.

New Delhi: The number of COVID-19 positive cases is increasing with every passing day. We had earlier informed you that ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ actor Parth Samthaan tested negative in his second report after testing positive for the virus earlier this month. TV actor Amal Sehrawat, who plays the role of Jagjeet Singh Dhillon in Colors TV’ ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’, lost his father to Coronavirus last month. Amal, while talking to an entertainment portal, said that his mother also tested positive for COVID-19 twice. He said that his father didn’t have any Coronavirus symptoms and they took him to the hospital for some other reason. The talented actor further said that his mother has recovered from Coronaviris and she is doing fine now. He added that he saw his father for a brief time after he was admitted to the ICU.
"My father didn't have any symptoms, we took him to the hospital for some other problem. But when they tested him for COVID-19, the reports came out positive. After that, I saw him once for a brief period. He was in the ICU all this while and finally succumbed to cardiac arrest last month," Amal told ETimes. "This is an extremely unpredictable virus, my father couldn't survive whereas my mother, despite being diabetic, got through it. She's fine now, physically as well as mentally. My father always called her the Iron Lady of our house and he was right," Amal further told the portal.
Amal posted a long note for his fans on Instagram and apologized to them for not responding to their messages. He said that it has been a ‘testing time’ for him and his family. He requested everyone to follow all the instructions to keep COVID-19 at bay. Amal also thanked the team of 'Choti Sarrdaarni' for supporting him throughout the tough times. “Dear Instagram Family, I apologise for not being active and responding to your messages since few days. I lost my Father Mr Raj Bail Singh to Covid 19 last month and my mother also tested positive twice . It has been a testing time for me and my family , but thanks to good memories left by my father that's helping us to sail through. I express my heartfelt gratitude to all my friends , relatives , entire #chotisarrdaarni team for standing by me and my family throughout . My special thanks to entire media for being so sensitive and co operative about it. I request everyone not to panic rather understand Covid 19 and follow all the instructions to prevent it .If any symptoms surface please contact doctor immediately. Loads of love to everyone , see you soon,” the post read.
Amal is currently in Delhi with his mother while his wife is taking care of their son in Mumbai. He plays the role of Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia's on-screen brother Jagga in 'Choti Sarrdaarni', which also stars Avinesh Rekhi.
