TV star Faisal Khan, who rose to fame with 'Dance India Dance Li'l Masters 2' & 'Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap', is in a happy space on personal as well as professional front. While Faisal is in a steady relationship with Jaipur based model Muskaan Kataria, he is now all set to come back on small-screen with a new show. After playing young 'Maharana Pratap', Faisal Khan is set to make his comeback in fiction space with Sony TV's popular show 'Chandragupta Maurya'. The 21-year-old actor-dancer is set to step into the shoes of Kartikey Malviya as grown-up 'Chandragupta Maurya'. 'Chandragupta Maurya' makers have asked Faisal to grow stubble and shed some weight to look perfect for the role. Confirming the same, Faisal Khan told a leading daily that, "I had taken a break from fiction shows, because I wasn’t a child anymore nor was I grown up to play an adult. However, with this character and its age, everything has fallen into place. I am excited about playing Chandragupta Maurya after essaying Maharana Pratap, as the two characters are different. While earlier I played the role of the younger Maharana Pratap, in the new show, I am essaying the grown-up Chandragupta Maurya." Whereas, is second fiction show 'Chandragupta Maurya' is of the same genre. Speaking about the same, Faisal further told TOI that, "Indian history is so rich and varied that I don’t feel that I’m repeating anything. In fact, the biggest shows on television belong to the historical and mythological genres. So, why not be a part of the grandeur? I would love to take up anything that challenges me even if it’s a daily soap. For me, the medium and genre isn’t as important as the character and its journey." On the professional front, Faisal has been a part of reality shows like 'DID Dance Ka Tashan', 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8', 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 7' among others and was last seen as a contestant in 'Dance Champions' which aired on 'Star Plus' last year.
