Anita Hassanandani Breaks Silence On 'Quitting Acting' After Embracing Motherhood

Anita Hassanandani revealed that many fans got upset on hearing about her quitting acting. She, however, made it clear that this will never happen. Read on.

Mumbai: Indian Television actress Anita Hassanandani, who is famous for her role in ‘Naagin’, has recently revealed that though she has undoubtedly become a mother she has no intention of leaving her acting career. The actress refuted all the rumours which were doing rounds that Anita had decided to quit acting after embracing motherhood. After these reports started doing rounds, fans of the ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ actress were left heartbroken. However, in a recent interaction with a leading publication, Anita clarified these rumours and shared that she does not plan on leaving acting permanently.

Anita Hassanandani revealed that many fans got upset and sent her messages with screenshots of her quitting acting. The actress made it clear that this will never happen. Anita further said that she still remembers the interview she gave before becoming a mother and disclosed that she never said that she will leave acting and that her statement was misinterpreted.

Anita told Hindustan Times, “At present, my priority is Aarav. But, whenever I’m ready and feel okay, I will get back.” She added, “Acting is my first love, I didn’t want people to think it’s ‘the end’ for me. It’s my second innings now after becoming a mother. There is no way I am letting go of it.”

Anita Hassanandani made her acting debut with the 1998 Doordarshan show ‘Idhar Udhar’. She then starred in several other shows including ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’, ‘Naagin’, ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil’, ‘Kasamh Se’ and others. She gained recognition when she featured in a lead role in the TV serial ‘Kkavyanjali’ opposite Eijaz Khan.

She is married to Rohit Reddy and the couple welcomed their firstborn earlier this year February 9. They named their baby boy Aaravv Reddy.
