‘Aapka Apna Zakir’ is more than just a comedy show

‘Aapka Apna Zakir’ is unlike any other comedy show on television. The light-hearted show elevates the talk show experience as it captures the essence of everyday experiences with a tinge of comedy while bringing out Zakir Khan’s signature style.

From Karan Johar in the first episode to Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor in the second, the show brings out fun and genuine connections. It also touches emotional chords with the guests as well as the audience through heartfelt conversations.

Zakir Khan’s journey from humble beginnings to nationwide fame is an inspiration to many. Not just a comedy show – comedy with a dose of ‘Zakirism’

Zakir’s fans know he is not just a ‘sakht launda’ as he claims to be. It is not just his comedy that makes him one of the most loved comics in the country, it is his storytelling, his poetry, his outlook on life, what fans call ‘Zakirism’, that has always resonated with the audience, making him as one of their own.  Zakir understands this connection and has seamlessly incorporates his essence in the show.

From speaking about the difference between a first experience and a new experience to explaining to Shraddha the importance of home or inspiring viewers by saying “Mehnat karte raho , mehnat karne sey hoga, humne kiya hai,” Zakir infuses the show with his signature ‘Zakirism." This blend of humour, philosophy, and relatability sets the show apart from typical comedy programs.

A promising start

While the show has its strong points, there's room for improvement. Also, the talented panel of Shweta Tiwari, Rithvik Dhanjani, Paresh Ganatra, and Gopal Datt’s presence do shine on screen; but would like to see more of their quirk and banter. However, it's a promising start.

‘Aapka Ka Apna Zakir’ is the perfect weekend escape that delivers both laughs and life lessons, all with Zakir Khan's signature touch.
