Aamir Ali Addresses Relationship Buzz With Ankita Kukreti: 'She Is Currently The Closest Person To Me'
Addressing the growing rumours of dating Ankita Kukreti, Aamir Ali told in an interview that he first met Ankita during a professional collaboration for a music video they worked on together.
Actor Aamir Ali recently found himself back in the spotlight after he hinted at a new romance earlier this year. Though he later clarified on Instagram that his words had been misinterpreted, the speculation around his love life only intensified after he was seen celebrating Holi with actress Ankita Kukreti.

Addressing the growing rumours, Aamir told Hindustan Times that he first met Ankita during a professional collaboration for a music video they worked on together. When asked about the viral Holi snapshot that fuelled dating rumours, he responded with a laugh, “She was the mystery girl for some time, and that was fun. And the best was the way they had shot us together, and then it went viral. Logon ka kaam hai, they can and will always speculate.”
Aamir says Ankita is very close to him
Although the 43-year-old actor stopped short of officially confirming a relationship with Ankita, he didn't completely dismiss the idea either. Offering a playful response, Aamir said, “Abhi I am not denying anything, but she is very close to me. In fact, she is currently the closest person to me. She’s a pretty girl and is starting her career in the industry. We are very close to each other, and that’s about it.”
Aamir not in touch with his daughter
Previously married to actress Sanjeeda Sheikh, Aamir tied the knot in 2012 and the two separated in 2020, with their divorce being finalised the following year. The former couple share a daughter, Ayra, who is now seven years old. Aamir, in an earlier interview, had shared that he is not in touch with his daughter.
"I'm not in touch with anyone. It's complicated, as I said. I wish everyone all the best and all the love, but I'm not (in touch). I don't want to talk about it," he had told Bombay Times
Despite his past experiences, Aamir remains optimistic about love. “I am not against finding love. And couple of hurdles in life won’t stop me from finding or falling in love again,” he shared candidly.
