Actor Siddharth's Quirky Reply To BJP Leader Asking Whether His Movies Are Funded By Dawood Ibrahim

Siddharth has been actively criticizing the ruling PM Modi-led BJP government and how they are handling the Covid situation in the country.

Chennai: South Indian actor Siddharth posted a witty reply for BJP State General Secretary for Andhra Pradesh, S. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy who asked him whether his films were funded by fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim. 

He responded by saying the Dawood wasn't available to pay his TDS. 
 
 
To S. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy strange question about if films were funded by Dawood Ibrahim Siddharth replied, "No buddy. He wasn't ready to pay my TDS. I am a perfect citizen and tax payer, isn't it, Vishnu.  Go and sleep. Calls himself BJP State Secretary. Shame."
 
Siddharth has been actively criticizing the ruling PM Modi-led BJP government and how they are handling the Covid situation in the country, he has even been dubbed as 'South ka Swara Bhasker' which he seemingly likes. The actor has made his opinions very clear and his quips have been loved by people who share his opinion. 
 
 
Late last month, the actor recieved death threats due to his recent remarks, but he "politely” turned down the police protection granted to him and said “the same officers’ time is better used for something else during this pandemic”. The actor had earlier accused the functionaries of BJP’s Tamil Nadu unit of leaking his phone number as a result of which he had received several threat calls.
