Veteran Actor Nassar On Why He Chose To Wear A Veshti At IIFA 2024: 'When I See Arabs Coming In Their Own...'

New Delhi: The 2024 IIFA Awards have begun at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The grand award event began with a press conference followed by a Green Carpet event. At the IIFA Utsavam Green Carpet, veteran actor Nassar was seen in a black kurta which he wore with a veshti. The actor shared why he chose to wear his traditional outfit at the event.
In an interaction with News18 at the IIFA Utsavam Green Carpet,Nassar shared why he chose to wear a veshti. The actor said that there was no particular reason to opto for a veshti and said that he wanted to represent his culture in Abu Dhabi. The actor said, "No, I don’t have a reason. I feel comfortable with it. Moreover, when you are talking on other soil about our soil, it’s nice to be in your own representation. When I see Arabs coming in their own attire, I can come in a veshti.”

The actor also spoke about how safety of women actors has increased over time.
Nassar was seen in a black kurta and a well-pleated veshti and flats. Nassar is a legendary actor who has worked predominantely in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films besides also having worked in English, Hindi, and Bengali movies as well.
The actor was last seen in 'Kadaisi Ulaga Por'. He will next be seen in 'Game Changer' where he will star alongside Ram Charan.
