Pawan Kalyan Says He Feels 'Jealous' Of Ram Charan Because Of This Reason: 'Just Because I Am A Power Star...'

Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan continues to balance his dual roles as an actor and the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Recently, he attended the pre-release event of Shankar’s Game Changer, featuring his nephew Ram Charan in the lead role. Praising Charan, Pawan described him as a grounded individual who remains humble despite his immense stardom.

Reflecting on his own experiences growing up as the younger brother of legendary actor Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan shared, “Chiranjeevi garu had a tough journey to the top and became the shelter for so many talents that came after him. When I was at home, and he used to return from shooting drenched in blood and sweat, I used to feel very guilty. I used to remove his socks and shoes and see the bruises, and the efforts he put in his films to ensure everyone around him had a good life. Ram Charan grew up watching all this, and he never lets success get to his head.”
Pawan also applauded Charan’s performances in films like Rangasthalam, stating that his nephew’s talent comes as no surprise. He remarked, “A Mega Star’s son has to be a Global Star.”
Adding a personal note, he admitted to being envious of one particular skill: “Ram Charan is like a brother to me, and I am very happy and proud of his success. But I am jealous of the way he rides a horse. I don’t get jealous very often. But when I saw him in Magadheera… I was floored. He is someone who came well-prepared in many arts, and I think a lot of people still don’t understand his potential.”

Pawan Kalyan narrates a humorous incident
He also recounted a humorous memory from the sets of Gabbar Singh: “We were shooting in Kutch, and I had to ride a horse in a scene. Just because I am called Power Star, it doesn’t mean I know everything. I whispered to the horse that I didn’t know riding, but take this carrot. The horse carried me wonderfully.”
During his extensive speech, which was attended by notable personalities like Shankar, Anjali, SJ Suryah, Naveen Chandra, and Srikanth, Pawan Kalyan emphasised the importance of unity among Telugu cinema fans.
Addressing the audience, he said, “All of you are fans of someone, and you might like one hero more than the other. You might like Jr NTR, Allu Arjun, Prabhas, Mahesh Babu, and Nani. In fact, a lot of people in my family, including my sister, likes Nani films a lot. It comes from what my father said, and what Chiranjeevi garu espoused in his life. He never stopped us from watching films of any actors just because he was a huge star. He wanted all films to do well because it helped the economy, and the health of Telugu cinema. These are the lessons that Ram Charan has imbibed too.”
