Jr NTR’s Body Double Eshwar Harris Says He Rejected War 2 Over Low Pay: ‘It Wouldn’t Even Cover My Flight’

Eshwar Harris, who served as Jr NTR’s body double in a few action scenes for 'RRR', has now revealed that he turned down an opportunity to work on 'War 2' due to inadequate remuneration.

Eshwar Harris, who served as Jr NTR’s body double in a few action scenes for 'RRR', has now revealed that he turned down an opportunity to work on 'War 2' due to inadequate remuneration. In an interview with Mana Stars, the Hyderabad-based stuntman shared that the amount offered to him was so minimal, it wouldn’t have even covered his travel expenses.

“Recently, I was asked if I would like to work in War 2. I did not do it because of the remuneration. They asked me to come to Mumbai on the next flight I could get. But the remuneration was so low, they probably wouldn’t even cover my flight charges,” Eshwar said, expressing disappointment at the treatment meted out to stunt professionals.

Bollywood pays less than Telugu film industry

He also criticised the Hindi film industry for offering lower wages compared to what he earns in the Telugu film industry. “Bollywood is worse than us; I’m getting paid better than that here (in Hyderabad and Tollywood). You have such high budgets; you should be paying better. I was asked to work for three days, but I turned it down because it’s barely enough to cover my travel,” he added.

About War 2

'War 2' is one of the most anticipated entries in the YRF Spy Universe, which already includes successful franchises like Ek Tha Tiger, Pathaan, and the original War. While Siddharth Anand directed the first part, the sequel is being helmed by 'Brahmastra' director Ayan Mukerji.

The film will see Hrithik Roshan returning as RAW agent Major Kabir Dhaliwal, with Jr NTR making his much-awaited Hindi film debut. Kiara Advani also stars in a key role. 'War 2' is scheduled to hit theatres on August 14, 2025. Following this instalment, the next YRF Spy Universe film will be 'Alpha', directed by Shiv Rawail and starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari.
