New Delhi: Tamil director Atlee walked the Cannes red carpet with his wife Priya recently after making his Cannes Film Festival 2023 debut last week. The couple wore black and complemented each other's outfits. Atlee has also been in the headlines for his Bollywood debut with megastar Shah Rukh Khan, who he is directing in 'Jawan' alongside Nayanthara.

Atlee and Priya's Cannes red carpet pictures were shared on Instagram by a talent agent account. The post had a caption, "As cameras flashed amidst the glitz & glam, Director @atlee47 & @priyaatlee graced the red carpet at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival on May 21st (black heart emoji) #CannesFilmFestival #Atlee."

In the first picture, we see Atlee and Priya pose and wave at the cameras from the steps leading to the Palais. While Atlee wore a black tuxedo, his wife Priya was seen in a black beader saree looking elegant as ever.

Soon after the pictures were shared, fans reacted to their pictures on social media. A fan wrote, "Awwww couple," another wrote, "Woww (red heart emoji) that's fantastic." Some also shared fire and heart emojis.

Recently, Anurag Kashyap's directorial 'Kennedy' starring Sunny Leone and Rahul Bhat was screened at the Midnight Screening and received a standing ovation for it. This year, the Cannes Film Festival 2023 saw the Indian delegation be represented by celebrities like Aditi Rao Hydari, Esha Gupta, Aishwarya rai Bachchan, Sara Ali Khan, Urvashi Rautela, Mrunal Thakur, influencers like Dolly Singh, Kusha Kapila and many others. Filmmaker-producer Vignesh Shivan was also seen at Cannes.

Meanwhile, Atlee’s ‘Jawan’ is an action thriller film. Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in a dual role with Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani. The music of the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

‘Jawan’ will be released on September 7, 2023.
