Dhanush’s Father Kasthuri Raja Responds To Nayanthara’s Allegations: 'Don’t Have Time To Answer Those Who Talk Behind Our Back'

Dhanush’s father, veteran director Kasthuri Raja, has come forward to address the dispute between Nayanthara and actor-producer Dhanush.

The ongoing rift between actress Nayanthara and actor-producer Dhanush has sparked a major controversy. The dispute began when Nayanthara took to social media, accusing Dhanush of denying permission to use footage from his 2015 production Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in her new documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale. Nayanthara, who starred as the female lead in the film, also claimed that Dhanush demanded an exorbitant sum of Rs 10 crore for the use of a brief three-second behind-the-scenes (BTS) clip.

According to Nayanthara, Dhanush’s refusal to grant her the necessary clearance for the clip was rooted in a personal grudge against the couple.

In the latest turn of events, Dhanush’s father, veteran director Kasthuri Raja, has come forward to address the situation. Kasthuri Raja stated that neither he nor Dhanush had the time or inclination to engage with those speaking about them behind their backs.

“Work is important to us. We are moving forward. We don’t have time to answer those who chase us or talk behind our backs. Much like me, my son is focused only on his work. I don’t want to talk about it. He was quoted as saying by Samayam.

What Nayanthara said

In her lengthy post on social media, Nayanthara had expressed her frustration at the situation, accusing Dhanush of holding a personal grudge against both her and Vignesh Shivan. She also criticised his demand for a hefty Rs 10 crore payment for the brief clip. As of now, Dhanush has not responded publicly to the allegations.
