Amritsar: Shehnaaz Gill's Father Santokh Singh Sukh 'Escapes Bullets' Days After He Joined BJP

According to reports, Santhok Singh was shot at in Amritsar when two men on a bike fired at him when he was on his way back from events in the city.

New Delhi: In a shocking turn of events, Bigg Boss 13 fame actress Shehnaaz Gill's father Santhok Singh Sukh was reportedly shot at by two unidentified armed persons late Saturday (December 25) evening. Santhok Singh Sukh recently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the Punjab assembly elections scheduled to be held in 2022.  

According to a report published on news18.com, Santhok Singh was shot at in Amritsar when two men on a bike fired at him when he was on his way back home from events in the city.

His security had parked the car they were travelling in for a toilet break, when he was alone in the car. The two bike-borne men then came near him and as soon as he rolled down the windows, he was allegedly shot at, as per amarujala.com. The report said his security threw bricks at the men to stop them but they managed to flee. 

Santhok Singh escaped unhurt.

According to the report, the Jandiala Guru police said the matter seemed suspicious and an investigation is on. The police confirmed that they recovered four empty shells from the site.

Meanwhile, Santokh Singh’s daughter, actor Shehnaz Gill has been away from social media ever since her rumoured boyfriend Sidharth Shukla died of a heart attack in September this year. Shehnaz was last seen in Punjabi film Honsla Rakh, opposite Diljit Dosanjh.

Shehnaaz frecently attended her manager’s engagement party, which was her first public event after Sidharth’s death. Donning a shimmery black cocktail dress, Shehnaaz was seen enjoying at the party.
