Shah Rukh Khan Says 'Aap Toh Mere Santa Claus Nikle' As He Announces 'Dunki' With Rajkumar Hirani And Taapsee Pannu

Taking to his social media handle on Tuesday, King Khan announced his upcoming movie with ace director Rajkumar Hirani.

New Delhi: Seems like superstar Shah Rukh Khan has back-to-back surprises for his fans. The actor, who already has the audience on the edge with his action-thriller 'Pathaan', is all set to entertain his fans with a social comedy. Taking to his social media handle on Tuesday, King Khan announced his upcoming movie with ace director Rajkumar Hirani. The film titled 'Dunki', will feature Taapsee Pannu as the female lead opposite SRK.

Fans of the superstar have been eagerly waiting to see Shah Rukh and Rajkumar Hirani work together. Both the actor and the filmmaker have also expressed their desire to work with each other, several times in the past. Finally, after waiting for years, the duo is all set to entertain the audience with their collaboration.

Shah Rukh Khan took to his Instagram handle to share a fun video featuring himself and Rajkumar Hirani, to announce the film. The video shows SRK standing in Hirani's office, asking if he has a suitable role for him. The video ends on a humorous note as SRK ponders over the title of the film and then goes on to accept whatever is offered.

Sharing the video, Shah Rukh wrote, "Dear @hirani.rajkumar sir, Aap toh Mere Santa Claus nikle. Aap shuru karo main time pe pahunch jaunga. actually main toh set par hi rehne lagunga!Feeling humbled and excited to finally work with you.Bringing to you all #Dunki in cinemas on 22nd December 2023"

Confirming the collaboration, Rajkumar Hirani wrote, "@iamsrk, Aakhir humne ek saath movie banane ka decision le hi liya 😄 Extremely thrilled to announce #Dunki, coming to you next Christmas! Release in cinemas on 22.12.23"

Taapsee Pannu also expressed her excitement over the collaboration and shared, "Finally, it’s happening!
I feel overwhelmed to announce my upcoming film with @iamsrk & @hirani.rajkumar."

'Dunki' is being produced by Gauri Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. The film went on floors in April, and will release in December, next year.
