Shah Rukh Khan Reacts As Jawan Director Atlee Touches Feet As He Wins Award For Film; Watch

After receiving an award, filmmaker Atlee caressed actor Shah Rukh Khan's feet. Atlee took home the Zee Cine Awards 2024 Best Director trophy for Jawan, which were hosted in Mumbai on Sunday night.

New Delhi: After receiving an award, filmmaker Atlee caressed actor Shah Rukh Khan's feet. Atlee took home the Zee Cine Awards 2024 Best Director trophy for Jawan, which were hosted in Mumbai on Sunday night.

A paparazzo account posted a video of the two during the event on Instagram. In the video, Atlee stood up with his hands folded as the winner's name was announced and everyone applauded. Sitting beside Shah Rukh Khan, Atlee stroked the actor's feet.

With a smile, Shah Rukh attempted to stop him but could not. He then kissed and hugged Atlee tightly. Actor Rani Mukerji gave Atlee the prize as he hurried to the platform. They both grinned and exchanged a few words. Atlee wore shoes and an outfit with prints in blue and white for the occasion. Shah Rukh chose to wear a black suit with matching trousers and shoes.

Shah Rukh and Atlee's first joint venture, 'Jawan', was released on September 7 of last year.

Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan'

Among the other actors who starred in the movie were Nayanthara, Girija Oak, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Lehar Khan, and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya. The film marked Atlee's first time directing in Bollywood.

With its compelling plot and outstanding performances, ‘Jawan’ redefined box office success, shattering records in the process. According to Sacnilk.com, Jawan has made ₹1160 crore in box office receipts worldwide.

Shah Rukh has taken home the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2024's Best Actor trophy for ‘Jawan’. He appeared in two different roles in the movie.

Atlee's upcoming films

He and Varun Dhawan co-starred in the action-adventure film ‘Baby John’. Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi are also part of the film. 

The film, which is helmed by Kalees, will debut in theatres on May 31. Produced by Jio Studios' Jyoti Deshpande, Atlee and Priya's A for Apple Studios, and Murad Khetani's Cine1 Studios, is ‘Baby John.’
