'Shakuntalam' First Look: Samantha Prabhu Looks An Absolute Enchantress

New Delhi: Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu is hogging all the limelight for her absolutely remarkable look in the mythology-based love saga 'Shakuntalam'. The actress looks no less than an enchantress, dressed in a white, fairy-like attire with floral accessories. The makers revealed the first look poster of the film giving a glimpse of Samantha, who looks straight out of a beautiful painting.
Unveiling the poster, Samantha wrote, "Presenting.. Nature's beloved.. the Ethereal and Demure.. 'Shakuntala' from #Shaakuntalam." What shows her as an enchantress, has Samantha sitting on a rock, as she is surrounded by peacocks, deers, swans, and butterflies.
The first look caters to one of Samantha's best looks, giving a glimpse at the type of role she will play in the film.

Actress Kajal Aggarwal, being in awe of Samantha's look, commented on the post by writing, "Not just ethereal and demure but absolutely DIVINE and SURREAL."
Based on a popular Indian play Shakuntala by Kalidasa, the film is written and directed by Gunasekhar. Malayalam actor Dev Mohan will reprise King Dushyant, while Allu Arjun's daughter Allu Arha will play Prince Bharata.
Actor Kabir Duhan Singh will appear as King Asura, while other prominent actors will play important roles in the mythological movie. Being it Samantha Ruth Prabhu's first pan-India movie, all hopes are pinned on this visually creative mythological drama.
The filming of 'Shakuntalam' was completed a long time ago, and now the post-production work is underway.
Produced by Neelima Guna, the music of the mythological drama is composed by Mani Sharma. The movie will be presented by Dil Raju.
Samantha has lately been garnering a lot of appreciation for her sizzling dance number 'Oo Antava' in the Allu Arjun starrer 'Pushpa: The Rise'. The actress won the audience with her moves in her first song itself. After the song topped all chartbusters and became a hit, Samantha thanked Allu Arjun for convincing her to take up the opportunity. The actress apparently charged Rs 5crore for the song.

On the work front, Samantha will be seen in 'Yashoda'. She is also a part of an international project 'Arrangements of Love'.
