Rasika Dugal Recalls The First Day Of Mirzapur On Its 4th Anniversary
On the fourth anniversary of Mirzapur's debut season, Rasika shares her journey of becoming Beena Tripathi.
New Delhi: Powerhouse performer Rasika Dugal has given multiple performances that have touched the hearts of audiences. One of her most loved characters is Beena Tripathi from the show thriller series ‘Mirzapur’. On the fourth anniversary of its debut season, Rasika shares her journey of becoming Beena.
The show is an action-thriller-crime fiction show based on the mafia don and proverbial ruler of Mirzapur. It has a massive fan following and it made Rasika a household name as soon as it was released on Amazon Prime Video.
Talking about her first day on set, Rasika said, ”On my first day of being Beena I was, of course, excited but nervous too - I had never done a role as sassy as this one! It turned out to be easier than I had imagined though. The directors were always encouraging and we have a powerhouse cast which gets only better with every season! I am so thankful that the directors and the casting directors at Casting Bay thought out of the box and imagined me in a role so different from who I am and so different from the other roles I had played till then”
On Instagram, Rasika also posted pictures with her co-stars from the show's launch day and wrote, "#Throwback to four years ago at the launch of Mirzapur Season 1. The Women of Mirzapur at their best and Akhandanand @pankajtripathi wondering how to deal with them😄... four years and nothing has changed 😉. #4YearsOfMirzapur. So who will survive season 3 and... who will not?!”

Rasika recently wrapped the shoot of the third season of ‘Mirzapur.’ Her other upcoming projects include ‘Spike’, ‘Adhura’, ‘Fairy Folk’, ‘Lord Curzon Ki Haveli’ and a few more unannounced projects.
