New Delhi: With the release of Rashtra Kavach Om, Aditya Roy Kapur entirely reinvented himself as an action hero. The film's trailer featured the actor in a toned body, which made him seem remarkable. Aditya plays the role of a para commando in this film, which has a number of intense action scenes. However, it does not attract sufficient viewers to the theatres. 

At the box office, Rashtra Kavach Om failed to make an impression. The film earned Rs 1.51 crore on its first day of release. Unfortunately, the disappointment continues throughout the second day. At the end of Day 2 (Saturday), the movie made Rs. 1.70 crores revenue at the box office.

Taran Adarsh, a film trade expert, tweeted that “#RashtraKavachOm struggles on Day 2… Dips at national chains, but performs better in mass pockets… The 2-day total, however, is extremely low… Fri 1.51 cr, Sat 1.70 cr. Total: ₹ 3.21 cr. #India biz.”

Filmmaker Kapil Verma directed Rashtra Kavach Om, which was co-produced by Zee Studios and Ahmed Khan. Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjana Sanghi, Jackie Shroff, Ashutosh Rana and Prakash Raj are among the actors featured in this movie. On July 1, it was distributed in theatres all throughout the country. 

In addition to Kalank, Ok Jaanu, Fitoor, and Daawat-E-Ishq, Aditya Roy Kapur's fifth disaster at the box office would be ‘Rashtra Kavach Om’. For the unversed, ‘Aashiqui 2’ released in the year 2013 has been the actor's sole successful film to date.
