However, according to the latest report, the team of the Jim Strouse-directed venture is making quick arrangements for the cast and crew to return to the US. A source told Mid-Day, “The producers have halted production at the moment. Their top priority is to ensure the safe return of the cast and crew. Special permissions are being sought to travel back to the US, but the procedure may take longer than usual with the lockdown rules becoming stricter than ever before. It is possible that Priyanka and the rest of the unit will have to stay put in the UK for a while.” Priyanka Chopra also shared a post on her Instagram a few days back, giving an insight into filming during the time of COVID-19. She wrote, “What shooting a movie looks like in 2020. Daily testing, face shields, and masks on hand. This was taken after hair and makeup where we wait right before we shoot, in a secure distanced zone ...And masks on...in between all shots!! Staying safe is part of getting the job done, protect yourself and everyone around you. Stay positive! test negative!”
The Tier 4 lockdown has also impacted Bollywood actor Aftab Shivdasani’s itinerary as the actor was supposed to fly back to India to start working on his home production. The ‘Masti’ actor went to England to be with wife Nin and daughter Nevaeh. Aftab told the publication about his upcoming project, “We are in the process of finalising the dates for the project. It won't roll before January though.” Speaking about his Christmas plans, the ‘Kasoor’ actor said, “We weren't going to public places anyway because our daughter is young. We didn't want to take a risk.” Many Bollywood films which were supposed to be shot in the UK have been halted amid the outbreak of the new strain of coronavirus.
