Pakistani Actor Yasir Hussain Criticises Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan'; Calls The Film 'Video Game’
Pakistani Actor Yasir Hussain slammed Shahrukh Khan's film as a cheap rip-off of American action flicks with no real plot.
New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan is riding high on the success of his recent smash hit, ‘Pathaan’ which smashed many box office records. The film that Siddharth Anand directed was a commercial success, bringing in Rs 1200 crore globally. Pakistani actor Yasir Hussain has taken a harsh dig at the film, despite the fact that fans have lauded it as his most successful film of 2023. Yasir termed 'Paathan' a video game on his social media accounts and criticised it.
Yasir has a history of causing controversy with his criticisms of other artists and films. In his most recent, he slammed Bollywood's undisputed king of romance by calling Shahrukh Khan's film a cheap rip-off of American action flicks with no real plot.
On Instagram, he commented on SRK's newest film, ‘Pathaan,’ saying, “Agar aap mission impossible 1 bhi dekh chuky hain toh shah rukh khan ki Pathan aap ko aik story less video game se zyada kuch nahi lagy gi.”
Some people appreciated Yasir for stating his mind, while others blasted him for being envious and vindictive towards SRK.
For those who are unfamiliar, Yasir Hussain is a famous Pakistani actor, scriptwriter, and presenter who is adored for his hilarious roles. He is the husband of Pakistani actress Iqra Aziz. Yasir was formerly the presenter of Hum TV's The After Moon Show. His role as the antagonist in the social drama ‘Baandi’ (2018) has made him a household name.
Meanwhile, 'Pathaan', which was made by Yash Raj Productions, is one of Bollywood's highest-grossing films, which was released on January 25. The movie premiered on Amazon Prime Video at midnight on March 22.
The film also stars Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana alongside the main cast Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. The music of the spy thriller was composed by Vishal–Shekhar.
